As I said earlier that it would be wrong to visit Six Flags Great
America and not ride the Rue le Dodge it would also be a crime to visit
the park and not take the legendary Whizzer for a ride.
The Whizzer may not be the tallest, fastest and most thrilling coaster out
there but it is insanely fun. Unfortunately for the photographers
out there like myself with all of the trees growing up around The Whizzer
and most of the ride low to the ground your shots are really limited.
With this being true I would give a body part to get under and around this
coaster to photograph it. I just need to figure out what I'm going
to have to give up to get back there. Maybe I can give up a kidney?
Rounding out our very long day at Six Flags Great America was a stop where
it all began some fourteen hours earlier at the front of the park for a
ride on the Columbia Carousel.
The Columbia is not a classic carousel with wooden horses but the ride still
has spirit and Bond and I love heading up the second level to ride.
Actually I don't think I had ever been on Columbia's lower level.
Here we come to the end. Bond and I had an amazing time hanging out
with friends, getting rides in and getting to try out the worlds newest
wooden coaster. Goliath is a giant of a coaster that really rocks.
As sick as it is with the Dive Loop and the Zero G Stall there is going
to be a lot of people talking about it and heading to Gurnee, Illinois for
years to come to take it for a ride.
