X-Flight Media Day
May 11, 2012
Page Twelve
At 11:00 X-Flight was shut down and the park held an official opening
ceremony.
With an explosion of confetti...
...and a bunch of fireworks X-Flight was officially open and ready to go.
With the amassed media, radio station contest winners and guests of the
park rushing X-Flight for a ride we ended up just hanging out chatting with
friends about the ride and about pretty much everything else.
Of course we had to have one last ride on this amazing coaster before it
was time to go and it didn't let us down at all. Six Flags really
has a monster hit with this coaster. I'd say that the coaster wars
might be back on and that this is definitely a first salvo against the competition.
Bond thinks there needs to be a few more photos of me here so he grabbed
my camera and shot this.
Thanks to Six Flags Great America for adding such a wonderful and kick ass
ride. A big thank you to them for choosing the American Coaster Enthusiasts
to fill out the media day with riders like Bond and myself. Thanks
to ACE Regional Representative Scott Hecht for doing all the organization
stuff. Thanks to Mike, Billy, Scott, Rocco, Johnny, Mike (a different
one) and the rest of my coaster buddies for a fun early morning and afternoon.
And to the rest of you get to Six Flags Great America and take X-Flight
for a ride as it is one of the best new coasters that I've been on in a
long time.
