The Great American Eagle is a fun underrated coaster. Guess
who we ran into at the Eagle? Ride op extraordinaire Brian!
We've known Brian since he was a teenager working at Holiday World and it
was good to see him.
He was there on the blue side of the Eagle helping them test the trains
that they turned around for the end of the season. It was basically
a little short term PR stunt and something different since it's been a few
years since they ran the Eagle backwards.
Here's the Eagle testing all turned around.
The turned around Eagle wasn't supposed to open up until a few days after
we were there but Brian told us to check back because it might be up and
running. It was when he said so we took a ride on the Eagle in the
back seat. Well technically it was the back seat but when the train
is in it's normal position we'd be at the front of the train.
Being in the back we got a great view of the red train that was a little
behind us. Actually it turned out to be a view that was pretty bad
as on the red train some idiot in the front stood up for the whole ride.
I was prepared to quickly cover Bond's eyes as I was waiting for this potential
Darwin Awards winner to come flying up and out to his death but his buddies
in the seat behind him held onto him. I notified my ride op when we
got back and he told one of the red side's crew about it but that ride op
just sat there and did nothing and the moron got off of the ride.
You know what stupid people like the guy standing up on the Eagle need to
do? They should just dive off of a bridge head first into some uninhabited
rocky gorge and do something useful like become compost. The world
will be a better place when they can't hurt others with their acts of stupidity.
Buccaneer Battle...Bond loves to get his battle on!
