Arrow Dynamics and Schwarzkopf brought the looping coaster to the world in the 1970's and 80's.  Bolliger & Mabillard created a few looping coasters in the 1990's but nearing the end of the century it seemed like the style was going away.  Then in 1999 B&M created the floorless coaster and suddenly looping coasters were a thing again.
