Another ride that is tough to photograph is Thunderation. One
of these years I hope to get down and around what is the greatest mine train
on the planet for a few photos and maybe some video.
Bond has always loved heading down into Marvel Cave during our Silver Dollar
City visits. Here is a view from the entrance to the cave. It
is quite a walk all the way down there.
Here is the view from the bottom. As a nice added workout due to all
of those nice spring showers this was not going to be a complete tour of
Marvel Cave as the lower portions were flooded so after going as far as
the guide could take us it was back up and out for us.
Even with the added workout to the tour I always enjoy coming down into
the cave. It must be the boy adventurer in me but I would love to
go off path and get all muddy working my way through passages.
No that is not a "selfie stick" in my hand. I use it as an extendable
boom in order to get some interesting angles with the video that I shoot.
Besides if I used it to shoot photos of myself I'm certain my nice new GoPro
Hero 4 Silver would break.
