Covering the rest of Silver Dollar City are over five million Christmas
lights.
There is no doubt or ambiguity as to what holiday Silver Dollar City is
celebrating with all of their decorations and cheer. It is a sad fact
of the times that people get offended someone celebrates something that
they don't. My advice to those people is life is too short to get
offended so do your thing and hey if someone wishes you well or wants you
to join them in celebrating their God then go and celebrate. Yes it
might not be your religion but in the end on this planet we're all brothers
and sisters so follow the two words that I live by..."have fun".
Now Bond and I didn't take in any shows during our visit but we had to stop
a couple of times for some really fun Zydeco Christmas tunes that were really
rocking.
The tower for the long gone Waterworks Watertoboggan is used for a very
patriotic string of Christmas lights.
At least during the Christmas season the Flooded Mine ride operators don't
have to dress up like elves. Even though some of the ride ops said
that they didn't mind the elf costume as they are quite warm.
