This addition to Wildfire's gates is new since our last visit.  It looks pretty cool especially with the sun shining at the right time of day. 



After getting misted with a batch of the Doctor Horatio Harris' "Wildfire" rocket fuel you're off on one of the wildest rides in the Ozarks.



Wildfire is another coaster at Silver Dollar City that really uses the terrain to its advantage.  It is situated at the edge of the ridge that Silver Dollar City sits on so the lift is only 120 feet tall but the first drop is 155 feet.



Most of Wildfire's 3,073 feet of track is downhill from the station so if you want a great view of the action before taking it for a ride walk through the gift shop and you'll find yourself on a deck overlooking Wildfire, the valley and Table Rock lake far below you.



The American Plunge is a ride I have been wanting to try for a while but unfortunately the last few times we have been in the position to do so it has been cold.  Who wants to get soaked in forty degree weather?  Not I.
