Manta is a launched coaster designed by Mack Rides.



It opened in 2012 and was SeaWorld San Diego's second coaster after Journey to Atlantis.



Manta's queue and ride is heavily themed. 



The queue incorporates a touch pool and aquarium where riders can see Manta's in action before boarding a train and becoming one.



Manta moves out of the station into a giant theater that completely surrounds you with the sights and sounds of a manta swimming around a reef.  The train gently rocks back and forth with the sea before launching you out onto Manta's 2,800 feet of track.
