Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

We did take a ride on one of Mt. Olympus' go cart tracks as they aren't an up charge and could have beat the cars around the track walking.  I thought go karts were supposed to be fast?  Still here's something good from our day.  You see this person was so bad at driving his go kart he actually got it stuck sideways on the track and was unable to get the car pointed at anything other than the curb. I have to say that it sucked to be him as to compound his embarrassment this took place right next to one of the parks midways that was full of people who of course laughed at his expense.

I hate getting negative so here's something positive about Mt. Olympus.  They have cool signs for their coasters like Cyclops.

This sign on Cyclops is there for a very good reason.  Trust me.

You see in the back seat Cyclops has some of the most terrifying airtime of any coaster that I've been on.  Greg and I rode for the first time in our standard position.  You know the "look ma no hands" hands in the air position.  Well after a couple of swift kicks skyward and this drop that sent us straining against our lap bar we never rode it that way again.

The force in the back seat is so strong it's one of those moments where your entire lives flash before your eyes as you feel like your body is going to be ejected from the train only to be dashed on the wood structure below.  You're the closest to living when you're on the edge of dying.  It was fantastic.
Needless to say other than Hades, Cyclops is the other big reason to brave the abhorrent customer service and come to Mt. Olympus.  I'm not sure exactly where it'll end up but I'm pretty sure that Cyclops is going to be in my top 10 when it comes time to rank my coasters this fall.

Here's one last parting shot of Hades as we headed out to the car.  Opa was ok, Zeus and Pegasus were fun but Cyclops and Hades made the trip all worth while.
