The Giant Slide at Martin's Fantasy Island Amusement Park, Grand Island, New York

I can't pass up a slide. It comes from all of the carnivals I visited when I was a kid. It was always a joy grabbing a burlap sack and running up the narrow stairs on a trailer mounted slide before speeding down all of the dips on the way to the ground. This takes the concept of the old carnival slide and super sized it thus creating the "Giant Slide".

Chris Mike, Bond and I decided to race down the Giant Slide.

Unable to push myself along with my camera in hand I had a disadvantage.

But I caught up to Mike and with an elbow to his chest I was able to overtake him in order to come in third instead of last. Full contact sliding is a blast.
