The X-Coaster Rollercoaster at Magic Springs Amusement Park, Hot Springs, AR

Here's Greg after walking around so his head would not explode.  We later got into a conversation with the ride op and let her know that we were enthusiasts.  She went off with pride about how X Coaster was the only coaster of it's kind in America and that it was a record holder.  Somewhere in the conversation she told us that all of the enthusiasts and everyone she knew thought Magic Springs "sucked" before going back on about her ride.  Yes the park might suck but she sure loved X Coaster.

Our next stop after narrowly escaping death by almost re-riding X Coaster was a new credit for Kevin and I but not for Greg, Big Bad John.

Big Bad John is an Arrow Dynamics designed mine train that started it's life out at Six Flags St. Louis as the second track of the River King Mine Train which is where Greg last rode it.  After leaving St. Louis it went to Dollywood where it ran as the Thunder Express where the Tennessee Tornado now sits before heading to Arkansas.

I really love the engine part of the front car.  Yeah it cuts down on the ride's capacity but to me it adds to the experience.
