After the surprise ride on the Little Leaper we headed onto the big
ride at Lakemont Park the John Allen designed Skyliner.
The Skyliner began in 1960 at Roseland Park in New York state.
Skyliner is a "L" shaped double out and back design that was one of John
Allen's first coasters after he took the reins of chief designer at the
Philadelphia Toboggan Company from the legendary designer Herbert Schmecck.
Like most of his designs John Allen was a fan of airtime and the Skyliner
has plenty of that for you.
In 1985 Roseland Park closed for good and at that point Lakemont Park was
at a crossroads that would bring the two together.
