They brought back the flowers, apples, floral clock and more which is a really nice touch as most parks that were a part of the theme park boom of the 1970's have lost the charming theming that they began with.  It is really nice to see that Kings Dominion decided to bring back some of what really made a visit back then a special experience.

Part of our early morning ERT was on Kings Dominion's Carousel and as it is one of the few rides that Carrie enjoys we began our day on it.

Kings Dominion's Carousel originated in 1917 and was hand carved by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company.

The Carousel was wonderfully cared for being a hundred and one years old and I really liked the cupola with the ornate sirens topping it off.  Classic carousels are fantastic but placing one in a proper carousel house that is majestic adds to the experience.

Uh oh...the Canadians have arrived as Mr. Paul "Bratman" Schroeder showed up.  He may come from a different country and different parents but like so many others that I have met through this hobby he is part of my coaster family that I look forward to spending time with.
