Yet another one of a kind ride at Kennywood is The Kangaroo.

The Kangaroo is a really simple ride.  You speed around in a circle and along your circular course is a ramp that sends your car shooting up in the air for some wicked airtime.  It is simple and insanely fun.  It is so much fun the lady should put her cell phone away and just enjoy the ride.

The young and old can have a blast getting shot up into the lap bar on The Kangaroo.

Wait a minute now HE has his cell phone out!  What the hell people?  Is the damn Facebook post, LOL cat or test going to be as much fun as the here and now with the people you are riding with?  NO!  Jesus people if you want to text go home.

At least these two know how to have some fun together.  I love the huge grins on both of them because it encapsulates how amazingly fun The Kangaroo is.

The Kangaroo is the last of the Norman Bartlett (the same gentleman who designed The Flying Turns bobsled coaster that Knoebels recreated) designed "Flying Coaster" type rides that has been a Kennywood favorite since it was added in 1967.  If there are any ride manufacturers out there reading this if you are looking for a classic ride to revive this is at the top of my list.  I'd love  to be able to go to more than just Kennywood to ride one of these.
