Kemah Boardwalk including the Boardwalk Bullet rollercoaster in Kemah, Texas

The Boardwalk Tower is one of the thirteen rides at the Kemah Boardwalk.  It gives an amazing view of Galveston Bay, Kemah, the Boardwalk and surrounding areas.

The Kemah Boardwalk is laid out in a L shape with one side along Galveston Bay and this side that is along the channel that links Clear Lake with the bay.  The lower portion of the photo is Landry's Seafood House.

I actually visited here back in 1989 before Landry's had purchased the property.  My girlfriend's high school had their prom here and the two of us had a wonderful time dancing and then taking breaks heading out onto the second story patio to enjoy the view out over the bay.  I would post a photo of us but I won't as while she looked amazing and elegant no one wants to see a 90 pound 6'2" version of me in a really ugly gray tuxedo.  I looked horrible in it and I have no idea what I was thinking when I picked grey.  When I run into the photo now I cringe seeing myself there because I look so bad.

Here you can see some of the Boardwalk's rides including the Drop Zone drop tower, Aviator and the Ferris Wheel.

Here is one last view of the Boardwalk Bullet as we head down to ground on the Boardwalk Tower.

With several marinas in the area there were always boats of all sizes and type heading past the Boardwalk on the way into port and out to sea.  I would gladly take one of these out for a sail if given the chance.
