Hope is not all gone where Joyland is concerned and while it is a
long shot in life I have learned that no matter how long the odds
someone who is committed will get the job done.
Started by a teenager named Alex East who saw that Joyland was something
that Wichita needed started the
Joyland Restoration
Project that has morphed into not for profit with the aims of
raising money to purchase Joyland, restore it and open it for the
citizenry of Wichita.
So there's hope, even with it being a longshot in this economy where
money is tight and banks are not lending money but as I said never count
a determined group of people out.
So if you've got a few dollars to spare please send a donation and help
restore
Joyland.
I really wanted to get into Joyland and take a look around but not
wanting to spend part of my vacation in trouble with the law we just
walked around the outside of the park taking in what we could.
