Bond, Travis and Todd had a fun run on Wildebeest. Don't worry
I'll spare you any photos of me on it...no one, well except my wife wants
to see that.
Let's see, I named my site Negative-G so of course I love getting shot up
and down on Liberty Launch with all of it's negative g's.
I heard from a few people that The Legend was a bit rough this year but
I didn't find it bad at all. Other than the dip before the helix (which
has been a problem for years) it was running smooth and fast.
Notice those really dark clouds behind The Legend? That's one of the
reasons Holiday World was empty as the forecast was scattered thunderstorms
and temperatures in the sixties for the day. A big line of thunderstorms
were on the way so we headed up the hill to ride it out in Kringle's.
Some of us made it up to the shelter and well most of us had to hop on the
Raven for one more ride before the storm hit. Well the storm did hit...right
as we crested the lift hill. It went from a drizzle to a torrential
downpour in seconds and while hitting rain drops at fifty miles an hour
was painful The Raven rewarded us with some of the fastest and most intense
rides I have ever had in my more than 1,300 laps on it.
