By actively trying to kill you I mean that good Lord this ride doesn't
just push the limits but it pushes YOU to the limits by whipping you left
and right, slamming you down into your seat and half a nanosecond later
ejecting you up against the restraints with premeditated violence.
Oh my God it is so good! I mean just look on all of the faces of the
riders in this photo. You have the look of shock, awe, joy and pure
terror with several people, especially those in the back row holding on
for their lives unsure if they are going to survive the next few seconds.
You live the hardest when you are closest to death and I'm sure some of
those people were thinking of kissing the ground when they got off of Skyrush.
I expected Skyrush to be good but wow with it the second coaster of our
five day seven park trip I was already completely blown away!
After hitting his 50th and 100th coaster on kiddie coasters Skyrush gave
John a memorable coaster for his 200th.
I am not the only one in the family with a fanny pack full of camera gear
who likes to find the cool out of the way places to grab a few cool coaster
pictures as Bond is following in my footsteps.
Just across the midway from Skyrush is a coaster that I had been looking
forward to riding since July of 1977.
Opening on July 4th, 1977 the Sooper Dooper Looper opened as the first looping
coaster on the East Coast. Back then I was just five years old and
I was just starting to be afflicted with "coaster fever".
