Up hill from The Hollow is Tower Hill.
It is pretty easy to understand why that area of the park is called "Tower
Hill" as that is where Hersheypark's Kissing Tower ride sits.
Here are John and Draven enjoying a few minutes of seat time while we take
The Kissing Tower for a ride. I am all for any ride with a seat and
air conditioning. My only complaint is with the Hershey's Kisses shaped
windows ones visibility is quite limited for an observation tower type ride.
Hey look, advertising on a monorail!!!
Hersheypark's Monorail is the one ride we didn't get to do because we were
so busy riding everything else like nuts. By the time we thought about
riding it darkness had descended and we decided to skip it as there wouldn't
be much to see out of the windows. The Monorail takes you outside
of the park, through ZooAmerica and through part of the town of Hershey
showing off what Milton Hershey created.
As we wandered around Hersheypark in search of the next new coaster we came
upon the Reese's Xreme Cup Challenge which is a Sally Corporation designed
interactive dark ride. There are the cars for the chocolate lovers
and card for the peanut butter lovers and I guess the concept is to shoot
all the targets while trying to keep the other team from getting their "peanut
butter in your chocolate" or the other way around. It was an OK shoot
'em up dark ride but nothing to miss out on a coaster for.
