Well screw the old layout because after hours of trying to get the chat program to work on the old theme with absolutely no success I installed it onto the new theme and it works (there's a little issue with it but one can chat). So after a little relaxation Carrie and I (she has more sense as to what colors work than I do) are going to play with the stylesheet and change the font colors and maybe make the fonts bigger as well.

So screw the old theme! We can post away and we have chat (which is the really big thing) and maybe tomorrow I'm going to get the gallery up and running and maybe a calendar (not the one as before as that mod is discontinued) and we'll be good to go.

If you see anything that isn't working quite right or could use a change please let me know.

Have Fun

Paul

Paul, I can't see a link to the chat function. Also, it says there is a PM in my inbox, but when I click on "Inbox" or the little (1) thing, it takes me straight to the "compose new message" facility. :(

EDIT: now it says "0 new messages" but when I click on that, it says my inbox has a message in it. Oh, and I still can't get into my message inbox. :?

Hit Control F5 to refresh your browser cache and then let me know if you have any problems.

:D Chat is fixed (although I might see about making it transparent and doing a better logo for the background) so of course we're on for Sunday night chat tomorrow night.

The goals for today are to tweak this layout a bit (text colors and size, a new background image and I am thinking of removing the large logo on the top of each of the pages.

Let me know how everything is working for you all.

Thanks

Paul

I love the new look paul! One complanint though... im not a fan of the large -G in the back round. Its very distracting and makes words hard to read when over them. Besides that this is definatly a great update.

It now says (3 new messages) but when I click on it, it says Inbox (1) and still won't let me see my messages. Still can't see the link to the Chat function.

Try again. It turns out that I didn't have all of the modules for private messaging turned on. It should all be good now. Let me know if it works.

The private messaging system now works :) The only thing is that I still can't see the link to the chat function. Maybe I'm looking for the wrong thing and it now looks different? On the old layout it was a simple word saying "chat".

The chat program is called "Mini-Chat" and you'll find it on the line of links that sit below the Board Index and it's over to the right. I'm going to be changing it to where it says -G Chat but it'll be in the same location. Does anyone else not see it?

Thanks

Ok I spent a few hours earlier trying to figure out how to change the text color so over the next couple of days we'll get this more readable. Then next weekend I'll see about getting the gallery back up and making the chat program look a little better.

Now off to sleep as I work tomorrow.

Hi Paul,

Here's a screenshot of what I see at the top of this thread, where you have described:

Sorry it's a bit small, that's imageshack's fault. Anyway, I can't see the mini-chat link anywhere, and there's some funny characters in the "search" function text, too.

Ok...I went in and registered users were unable to access the chat program. It's fixed now so you should be able to see it. if not refresh your browser's cache (Ctel-F5). If you're wanting to join chat please just go in there and make a quick post before chat just to try it out and let me know if there's any problems.

Thanks

Paul

Yeah I have the funny characters as well. I have a corrupted language file that I need to work on...probably this upcoming weekend.

Can you see the chat link and get into the chat program now?
