I'm planning on Con. I have for over a year now, ever since I found out which parks were included. I'm hoping that everything works out nicely so that it will be a week of coaster awesomeness.

I sure know you will enjoy Con. With many wood coasters you will love. (3 at Kennywood, Possibly the Blue Streak, Rollo Coaster, 2 at Waldameer) and if you wanna add a day there is Lakemont which has two woodies including the oldest roller coaster and on of my tops the Skyliner.

He's been to Lakemont - Skyliner was in his top 10 last I knew. :) We'll probably end up going there again at some point this summer, though maybe not during Con as we'll both be taking time off from classes to be able to attend it, so we can't plan for too much extra. However, it could easily be tacked onto a Knoebel's trip, I think. I made it there last year as a detour on my way home from Washington D.C. It was a little out of the way but so worth it .. especially considering Leap the Dips ended up my 100th coaster!

The add-on for Coaster Con has been added to the ACE website.

Allegheny Mountain Madness

Delgrossos
Lakemont

So looks like ACE will be hitting everypark in our region!

That's cool. I had hoped to hit those parks while there and the add-on makes it even easier.

Has anybody seen the hotel prices on the recent flier, they are insane. I might have to put out an APB that I am looking for three other people to room with. I know it is early but Alabama Mike, do you want to carpool?

I've been on all the aforementioned coasters except Blue Streak, which I'm hoping beyond desperation that it's open so we can have ERT on it. Rollo Coaster, even for its size, is actually among my favorites on the list. I like the fact that it still operates with levers and not even really a true restraint system.

Of course, Ravine Flyer 2 is not to be missed. Kennywood's wooden coasters are great for what they are. They aren't among my favorites, but Phantom's Revenge is. If we do get to go to Lakemont, Skyliner is currently my #4 wood, so that will be awesome!

I wouldn't be against it but my question is, are you in for the con only? I'm thinking about trying to do some additional stuff.

First off is Allegheny Mountain Madness. I would like to try and do Canada's Wonderland since I am right there at the border. Might even try to get to Knoebels if Flying Turns and Black Diamond open.

Still lots to think about here.

Mike, I am defiantly planning on adding the mountain madness event to the con trip. As for the other two parks you suggested, I would like to do them if I have time as I can't ask for too many days off work. Maybe we can make them work, The whole trip is really up in the air at this point as it is so early.
