I first got to ride a Harry Traver designed Tumble Bug ride at Kennywood Park which calls their one "The Turtle" and fell in love with this classic ride.  There are only three of these rides left in the United Statesl; Kennywood's Turtle, Chippewa Lake Park's one that's been rusting and overgrown since the 1970's and the Tumble Bug at Conneaut Lake park.

Unfortunately the Tumble Bug was one of the rides not quite ready to start the season at Conneaut Lake Park.  In a Tumble Bug you sit in a round car that looks like a turtle and go around a circular but hilly track.  It's not intense but it makes up for it with an abundance of fun.

Here's the Tumble Bug's control.  I'm not sure how it's worked as you have two levers and a wheel.  My guess is the one of the levers is a power, one is a brake and the wheel may be to direct the Tumble Bug.

The Tumble Bug cars were no where in site so all I could see was it's hilly track, station and some of it's motor covers.
