The Phoenix at Busch Gardens Tampa, Tampa, Florida

The Phoenix is a very rare bird these days. It is a "Looping Starship" ride that sold a lot of during the 1980's. Unfortunately over the last decade many of these rides have met their fate at the scrap heap. Their restraints can be a little bit uncomfortable during loading and unloading as they tend to press quite hard on the chest and groin. After that though these are just fun to ride as you get the chance to just hang upside down for a bit.
