The third park that was part of the American Coaster Enthusiasts Coaster Con 41 and the fourth park of our trip was Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Opening in 1975; next to one of Anheuser-Busch's breweries, Busch Gardens the Old Country as it was then known is a park themed to Europe.  The park has changed names from Busch Gardens The Old Country to Busch Gardens Europe and finally just Busch Gardens Williamsburg.  No matter what it has been called throughout the parks history it has been known for being one of the most elaborately themed and beautiful parks in the world.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is made up of Germany, France, Italy, Scotland, France, England and Ireland.  The theming of each land is meticulous down to the Bavarian Festhaus in Germany and the pot of gold hidden deep in Ireland.

The Battle for Eire is Busch Gardens Williamsburg's new attraction for this year.  Taking motion simulation and mixing it with virtual reality helmets the Battle for Eire takes you soaring above, around and under Ireland as you help battle an evil wizard.    I'm not a big VR/sim ride fan but the Battle for Eire was really good.

Most guests to Busch Gardens Williamsburg begin their day by walking down the streets of Banbury Cross while we started our morning with exclusive ride time that led us directly into Ireland.
