The Griffon roller coaster - The American Coaster Enthusiasts Coaster Con 41 at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Williamsburg, Virginia

Griffon takes riders up two hundred and five feet and seem to stop you at the edge and hold you there.  In reality you are moving forward at half a mile an hour with all of that empty space between your dangling feet and the ground as it edges closer and closer to that moment when gravity takes over.

Everyone has a touch of acrophobia and Griffon and the rest of B&M's dive coasters play on that letting you just hang there before gravity kicks in and all hel breaks loose.

After messing with thirty riders heads by suspending them over the drop Griffon's loops are fun but almost a come down or at least they don't make riders as anxious.

Griffon has two inversions, both being Immelmann loops and two vertical drop elements with the second being only a hundred and thirty foot drop to mess with our fear of heights.

Griffon is really a lot of fun and with thirty riders per train there never was much of a wait for this fun coaster.
