The Verbolten Roller Coaster - The American Coaster Enthusiasts Coaster Con 41 at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Williamsburg, Virginia

So what did I think of Tempisto?  I am torn.

The launch is fun and the disorienting nature of Tempisto is great but that also limits how many times I can ride it over and over again before having a bit of nausea kicking in.

I'm not sure who designed the trains as they added nothing for rider comfort.  You have a lap bar and a heavy rubber vest to hold you in.  With the lap bar there is absolutely no leg room making it hard to actually get into the train and then you have to squeeze into the seat that has a heavy rubber harness dangling down.  I know I am not a small person but I didn't see anyone have an easy time getting into this train.

Complaining about the train design aside once you get into Tempisto and get secured you are in for a hell of a fun ride.

In mythology Apollo the son of Zeus was said to have pulled the sun across the heavens on his chariot.  I'm not sure if it was the gods of ancient Rome or the coaster gods smiling down on us but with each ride during out early morning ERT more of the sun emerged replacing rain clouds with blue skies.

Apollo's Chariot is a hyper coaster designed by Bolliger and Mabillard.

It is a wonderfully fun ride but it has one drawback...it is built out away from the park and is very hard to photograph.  Thankfully Busch Gardens is a very GoPro friendly park that after inspecting your rig (chest or wrist attachments only) will give you a pass to photograph on ride photos and video.
