The Verbolten Roller Coaster - The American Coaster Enthusiasts Coaster Con 41 at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Williamsburg, Virginia

The easy start to this coaster is a ruse to lull into getting a riders defenses down.  Where Verbolten kicks in is about fifty feet down the track from where this photo was taken when  the linear synchronous motors kick in and launch you deep into the Black Forrest.

I could tell you what happens in the Black Forrest but what happens in the Black Forrest stays in the Black Forrest.  Although I would suggest getting multiple rides because there are three different "shows" that happen on Verbolten and you have to ride over and over (not like that is hard) to experience them all.

After surviving the mysteries of the Black Forrest Verbolten once again pays tribute to the Big Bad Wolf.

Big Bad Wolf was known for it's legendary final dive down into Busch Gardens Williamsburg's Rhine River Valley.

Verbolten takes the same finale even down to use some of Big Bad Wolf's footers and turns the once suspended drop to the Rhine upside down with the track beneath us instead of overhead.

Big Bad Wolf is one of those "bucket list" coasters that I always wanted to ride but sadly never got to.  It is nice that Busch Gardens decided to work that coasters signature element into Verbolten.
