While the Tumbleweed and Wild West Express were fun the real reason I had to get to Adventure Park USA is this ride.

If you have been reading this site for a while you might have noticed that I am a huge Anton Schwarzkopf fan.  It comes from growing up with The Whizzer and Tidal Wave at Six Flags Great America as well as the Viper and Greezed Lightnin' at Six Flags Astroworld.  Those are some of the first coasters that I fell in love with so it is no surprise that I get excited about adding another of his coasters to my list.

Schwarzkopf Industries went bankrupt in 1985 and the last few coasters that Anton designed for Zierer were in the late 1980's.  Throw in the fact that he really didn't sell that many of his coasters in North America so any year when I can experience another one of his rides is a good one for me.

Anton Schwarzkopf took over his fathers circus carriage business in the early 1960's and decided to change the direction of the company into roller coasters and rides.  In 1964 The Wildcat design emerged.

With 1509 feet of track squeezed into a 180 foot long and 65 foot ride plot of land there were plenty of thrills packed into the ride and as a result it was a huge hit.  These started popping up in traveling fairs, amusement parks and theme parks all around the world.
