Wyandot Lake is a nice little
park in the Columbus Ohio suburb of Powell. For a quaint little park
it's a bit of a shock to find out that it's a member of the Six Flags
family. Thankfully because of that fact we were able to stop by on
our way through Columbus and use our season passes for a break from the
long drive to the Erie Pennsylvania area to go to parks and visit some
good friends.
The Starfish is the first thing
that you'll run into while heading into Wyandot Lake. The big draw of
this park is it's water park so everything here is themed to the sea.
I had a bit of a thrill while
riding the Starfish. I'm not that big of a Ferris wheel fan because
I hate the rocking motion and on the Starfish every time I hit the top a
blast of wind would tip my seat forward for a bit of a start.
Wyandot Lake is a nice relaxing
place to visit. It's the type of place where the water park and the
rest of the rides are all mixed together and you can walk straight off of
the midway into a lazy river.
