Universal Studios Florida, Orlando, Florida

The last time I was at Universal Studios Florida it was 1991 and the park was something brand new in a market that was almost completely controlled by the Mouse.  In the following three decades Universal Orlando has massively grown to include two theme parks, an entertainment district, numerous resort hotels, a water park and a third theme park hat is currently being built.  Needless to say I was a little excited to see what remains from the original Universal Studios Florida and all of the amazing rides and experiences they have added over the thirty years since my last visit.

The first changes were pretty obvious with a ginormous parking garage complex and the Universal CityWalk dining and entertainment complex that you pass through on the way to the parks.

Once you get deep enough into CityWalk you have a choice ahead of you.  Well, you have a choice if you have a multi park ticket like I had which was to head to the left to head to Island's of Adventure or go right to Universal Studios Florida.

With the studios opening early and closing early to transition into Halloween Horror Nights I decided to kick off both of my resort days by hitting the studios just as the first few rays of sunlight rose over the sunshine sate.

During the Halloween season after 5 PM Universal Studios Florida is transformed into Halloween Horror Nights.  This event has the reputation of being one of the most terrifying of all of the park Halloween events.  While I would like to experience of Universal Studios Florida filled with monsters, that'll have to be on some other trip, as my goal for this one was to really soak in the studios and Island's of Adventure.
